Fees

Please note: Valkyrie Volleyball Club is a volunteer-run and volunteer-coached program. 

Fees are reflective of the costs of running the Club and the number/type of tournaments that the teams participate in and travel costs.

Fees are listed under "Season Information" and age category. 

Club fees are payable to Valkyrie Volleyball Club and are non-refundable.
Payments by installments is available upon request. 

Club Fees include:

• Coaches’ Volleyball Alberta & Volleyball Canada Registration fees
• Coaches' Training and Certification Programs
  • SafeSport
  • myBackCheck (Criminal Records Check)
  • NCCP Making Ethical Decisions
  • Foundations of Volleyball
  • NCCP Development or Advanced Coaching certification
• Coaches’ accommodation, mileage, and per diem (food) allowance for out of town tournaments. 

• Tournament Registration Entry Fees for select Volleyball Alberta Premier and Provincial Tournaments
• Tournament Registration Entry Fees for select local tournaments

• Club registration with Volleyball Alberta
• Team Snap
• Uplifter online registration system
• banking fees
• NFP expenses (tax returns, licensing, etc.)

Club Fees do not include:

• Volleyball Alberta - Sportlomo Player Registration fees
• Players must provide own solid black shorts or leggings. Style, fit, and length doesn't matter 
• Players accommodation, transportation and food allowance for practices or tournaments
• Additional tournaments that each team decides to enter such as Volleyball Canada National Championships or other domestic/international tournaments including costs for tournament registration, player expenses or coach expenses (accommodation, transportation, meals, per diems, etc.)
• Any additional team apparel, fan wear not mentioned above

Fundraising

As a registered not-foriprofit, Valkyrie VC completes fundraising in accordance for AGLC guidelines. 

Optional Parent-led fundraising may be offered to offset specific events or expense such as Nationals or other major tournaments. 

Sponsorship opportunities (with tax receipt!) may be available.
