2025 Tryouts
Re-signing of Current Club Athletes & Tryouts
Dates are set by Volleyball Alberta.
Re-signing of current club-affiliated athletes is designed to secure enough players to ensure a season is viable and the vital positions are secured. Re-signed athletes are provided with a Letter of Intent (LOI) form to sign and return within 48 hours. WVC re-signs 50-75% of the roster to allow space for new potential players who would like to attend our tryouts. Roster size varies year-to-year and will depend on team composition, team dynamics, and coach preferences. The names and positions of re-signed athletes names are post on the Club website (as per Volleyball Alberta regulations) to allow for informed decisions by athletes who are trying out for various clubs.
Tryouts start dates are staggered based on age category. All Tryouts across the province are encouraged to be held on Sundays to avoid interference with ASAA School Athletics as per Volleyball Alberta.
All WVC Tryouts will be held at Wetaskiwin Composite High School unless otherwise noted.

Winter Tryouts
If needed, additional tryouts may begin on Sunday, November 24, 2024 as per Volleyball Alberta guidelines.

Tryout Fees
All prospective players must be registered with Volleyball Alberta -> "2025 Youth Development Player – Tryouts"
2025 Volleyball Alberta Cost: $19.70 + fees = $21.81
Wetaskiwin Volleyball Club does not charge fees to attend tryouts.
